Low frequency RFID has a relatively low operating frequency, with typical operating frequencies of 125KHz and 134KHz. This frequency is mainly achieved through inductive coupling and operates on the same principle as HF RFID. Low frequency RFID has a long commercial history and relatively low technical threshold, but its unique technical features still have irreplaceable advantages in certain application fields.

 

The frequency of RFID tags is usually divided into three ranges: low frequency (LF, 125kHz -134kHz), high frequency (HF, 13.56MHz), and ultra-high frequency (UHF, 860MHz -960MHz). Different frequency ranges are suitable for different application scenarios. Low frequency tags are suitable for applications with close range, low speed, and low label capacity requirements, such as access cards and pet tags.

 

What are the characteristics of low-frequency RFID technology?

1. It has strong anti-interference ability and good blocking performance, but its transmission speed is relatively low and the working distance is short.

2. One to one transmission has high recognition accuracy, but it also has the disadvantage of not being able to read in groups.

 

In the access control system, access cards with 125KHz RFID tags can quickly identify and manage personnel entry and exit. By embedding RFID tags in the access card, when the cardholder approaches the access card reader, the reader can automatically recognize the information on the card, complete identity verification, and open the door.

 

In animal husbandry, farmers can use 125KHz RFID tags to identify animals. By implanting RFID tags into the ears or bodies of animals, farmers can quickly identify them, improve breeding efficiency and management level
